Pharmanova Showcases “Zinc Saves Kids” Initiative at Global Zinc Conference
Pharmanova Zambia Ltd proudly premiered its “Zinc Saves Kids” video at the Zinc Oxide Conference 2026 hosted by the International Zinc Association in Orlando, Florida, United States in February 2026.
The presentation highlighted the powerful impact already being achieved in Zambia through the distribution of 50,000 Kit Yamoyo anti-diarrhoea kits in schools across the country. These kits, which contain Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and zinc, provide an effective treatment for childhood diarrhoea and help ensure children receive immediate care when they need it most.
During the conference, Pharmanova shared the progress of this initiative and demonstrated how partnerships between local manufacturers and global organisations can create meaningful public health impact. The work being done in Zambia serves as an example of how locally produced health solutions can address critical global health challenges such as zinc deficiency and childhood diarrhoeal disease.
Pharmanova also discussed future initiatives and opportunities to expand the programme, building on the success already achieved in schools and communities across Zambia.
By showcasing this work on an international platform, Pharmanova reaffirmed its commitment to improving child health, strengthening local healthcare solutions, and contributing to global efforts to save young lives through the power of zinc.
